The LP50 is also TAA compliant. The LP50 now supports multiple password (admin and user) options with Complex or Passphrase modes. Complex mode uses passwords of 6-16 characters with a combination of 3 of 4 character sets. Passphrase mode uses a numeric PIN, a sentence, list of words or even song lyrics that are 10 to 64 characters long. The administrator can activate a user password or reset the user password to restore data access. To facilitate password entry, the 'eye' symbol can be activated which displays the typed password, reducing spelling errors that lead to failed login attempts. Protection against brute force attacks cryptographically wipes the device by default if the administrator password is mistyped 10 times in a row.
