Scoliometer OSI Mizuho

The scoliometer measures the difference in height between the shoulder blades in the flexed position and this measurement can be translated into an approximate scoliosis score. To detect scoliosis, the 'Adams forward bend test' is used, in which the child leans forwards, hanging with arms in the air, with feet together and knees straight ahead. The scoliometer is then used on the back to measure the angle in three levels and recorded as the 'angle of trunk rotation (ATR)'.
