The pen features a click mechanism with a lifetime guarantee and allows for easy refilling with a new cartridge when the ink runs out. The ink carries the strict Swedish Archive certification with ISO 11798 and lasts for 8000 metres, nine times longer than the average pen. When the refill is used up, it can be disposed of in metal recycling.
A New Era in the History of the Pen
The idea behind Epoca was to design a pen with an ergonomically correct shape. The Post Office requested such a pen because their staff wrote a lot every day and complained of fatigue and pain in their hands. As a result, Epoca was given a shape that was unlike any other pen in the early 1960s, but which we all recognize today.
For more than two years, it was tested and trialled, both by hand and in special testing machines. Then, Epoca was launched in two models: Epoca P and Epoca Luxe, and the rest, as they say, is history.
