Disinfectant PeraSafe R

PeraSafe is a disinfectant suitable for use instead of less user-friendly agents such as:

• 2% glutaraldehyde
• Phenols
• Formaldehyde

Before use, please read the instructions on the can. PeraSafe is non-corrosive and can be recommended for all forms of instrument disinfection.

PeraSafe has been examined from an environmental, health, and efficacy point of view by independent Swedish experts with positive results. It is particularly useful when heat disinfection is not possible, such as for:

• Disinfection of endoscopes

Please note that we recommend using our dosing bottle when mixing the solution. PeraSafe is supplied in a jar with 10 sachets of 16.2g powder, each providing 1 litre of working solution.

To prepare the solution:

• Mix one sachet with one litre of lukewarm water (30-35°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
• Preferably use our labelled dosing bottle.

Be cautious as the powder is very volatile; keep it away from your nose and eyes. The application solution is stable for 24 hours.

Advantages:

• Fast: full effect within 10 minutes on everything except fungi
• Low environmental impact
• Safe for the user
• Gentle on materials
• Effective: documented effect against bacteria, spores, viruses, fungi, and mycobacteria
• Neutral pH and smells faintly of vinegar

Disadvantages:

• Powder in sachets (must be mixed in lukewarm water, approx. 35°C)
• Only durable for 24 hours after preparation into a working solution, with the exception of fungi where the shelf life is only 8 hours
• For fungi, a contact time of 60 minutes is required
