Ligasano is a pressure relieving and active cleansing dressing made of polyurethane foam. The dressing is completely air permeable, which means that moisture and heat do not accumulate against the skin, allowing the skin to maintain a normal temperature.

Ligasano is used for:

• Preventive measures against pressure ulcers
• Treatment of existing pressure ulcers caused by:
• Constant pressure on the skin or tissue
• Insufficient or no blood circulation for a prolonged period

If circulation is stopped for long enough, a number of cells die, making it increasingly difficult for blood flow to return. Within a few days, the dead cells collapse, resulting in the formation of a pressure ulcer.
