Examine Footprints from the forest of stone8/f

This set of engaging woodland footprints is a great way for kids to start their forest explorations! Each stone has an animal's raised footprint on one side and a picture of the animal indented into the other. Take the stones on a group walk to compare them with any animal tracks the children discover (or prepare some of your own if necessary). Press the footprint into the ground to check, then turn the stone over to identify which animal left the marks. Which animal can the children find: fox, squirrel, rabbit, frog, deer, buzzard, owl or mouse?
