Disinfectant Virkon 50x5g/pack
Product Details
Virkon (Virus Control) is a world-patented disinfectant that effectively kills bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Its name reflects its documented efficacy against all virus families, making it a staple in almost all hospitals.
Virkon is a compound product that, when activated with water, forms several disinfectant substances, with the most important being hypochlorous acid. It also contains a fat-dissolving surfactant, which eliminates the need for cleaning before disinfection.
Despite its effectiveness, Virkon is not hazardous to health but should be handled with care, similar to other chemicals. It is environmentally friendly, as its components are present in low concentrations and are easily broken down.
However, note that Virkon is an acidic agent, which means:
- Some metals, such as copper, brass, iron, and aluminum, cannot withstand contact for more than a few minutes.
- Most other materials tolerate Virkon well.
