AQUACEL® EXTRATM Hydrofiber® Reinforcing Fibre Dressing is a soft, sterile, non-woven dressing consisting of sodium carboxymethyl cellulose and regenerated cellulose fibre sewn in for reinforcement. This malleable and highly absorbent dressing absorbs wound exudate and forms a soft cohesive gel that maintains a moist wound healing environment and supports the body's own healing process and removal of devitalised tissue from the wound, without destroying newly formed tissue.
