Sterile plastic Hemogard tube with purple stopper for haematological analysis. Blood volume 3 ml, tube volume 5 ml. EDTA K2 solution. Paper label. To avoid microcoagulation, the EDTA tube should be mixed by inverting 8-10 times immediately after the blood sample has been taken EDTA salts (ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) are used to anticoagulate whole blood in haematological examinations, as the cellular components of the blood are particularly well preserved by EDTA.
