The sides and bottom of the internal well have been carefully designed to make it easier to cover the bottom with just a small amount of liquid or other materials if required. The LED unit has been optimised so that the light flows evenly over the entire area of the internal well, emitting a soft clean glow that changes colour using the remote control. The overall height of the unit allows younger children to easily reach the bottom of the exploration area, enabling them to engage in messy play: using their hands to explore a variety of liquid or solid materials such as sand, craft clay, play dough, flour, jelly, foam, dried pasta or rice.
